Seed Hawk Sponsors International Conservation Event
(Langbank, SK) Seed Hawk is working with the Conservation Agriculture Systems Alliance (CASA) as one of four platinum sponsors of the 6th World Congress on Conservation Agriculture (WCCA). The conference will take place in Winnipeg, MB from June 22 – 25, 2014.
“From the very beginning, Seed Hawk’s vision has been about conservation and sustainable agriculture. As pioneers of zero tillage in North America, we are very proud to sponsor this conference. Despite differences in climate, crop, and soil across the globe, we know that sharing our ideas and our experiences can help us achieve our common conservation goals,” says Pat Beaujot, Founder and Director of Seed Hawk, Inc.
More than 600 international delegates are expected to attend in order to network with peers and conservation leaders, share practices and latest research, and participate in policy discussion. The Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) and Soil Conservation Council of Canada (SCCC) will direct a number of the sessions at the CASA-hosted conference.
The program will focus on three themes within conservation agriculture. Sustainable intensification will examine ways of increasing production without expanding the area required. Climate change topics will discuss how to responsibly adjust operations to compensate for temperature and rainfall fluctuations. Finally, innovative adoption will offer active practitioners an arena to share their experience and knowledge with new or struggling conservationists.
